Natural Colors / Our Colors / Paprika

Paprika, an extract from peppers (Capsicum annum), contains several carotenoids, including capsanthin, capsorubin and beta-carotene. The entire extract containing all the flavor and color components present in the original fruit is called paprika oleoresin.

FMC Paprika's red-orange color is heat and pH stable and can be used for a wide range of food applications. We have also developed stabilized emulsions that can be used in liquid systems with the target of minimizing ring formation.
